Pastor and Mrs. Butler

Greg Butler has served as pastor of Bible Baptist Church since January 1 of 1977. He is a 1970 graduate of Monroe Area High School, and a 1974 graduate of Bob Jones University. As a college student, Pastor Butler was instrumental in helping to start Bible Baptist Church in December of 1973. After serving as music minister and associate pastor, he was called as pastor of the church in 1977. Bro. Greg is an accomplished musician, having twice been crowned the “State Champion” guitar player in the state of Georgia. His favorite pastimes are spending time with family, playing music, and cheering on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. He and his wife Judy were married on February 14 of 1977. Stephen Butler

Stephen Butler

Stephen Butler is a 2003 graduate of Atlanta Baptist College. He holds a degree in Theology with proficiencies in Church Music and Youth Ministries. Stephen joined the staff of Bible Baptist Church on October 1 of 2001. He oversees all of the music and youth ministries at Bible Baptist, as well as curriculum. Stephen is an accomplished pianist, piano teacher, songwriter, arranger, and choral conductor. He is the director of the North Georgia School of Gospel Music, and teaches annually at the Steve Hurst School of Music. Stephen has been married to his wife Stacie since October of 2004. They serve as Executive Associates with Word of Life Local Church Ministries and work together discipling young people. They have 2 daughters Rebekah & Bethany.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Children's Church Intern
 

Katie Duncan

Katie Duncan

Katie Duncan – a BBC member since she was 9 years old – serves as the Children’s Church intern. Each week, Katie is responsible for preparing and delivering the Gospel message for children ages 4 through 10 during the morning worship time. Katie was saved at the age of 5 and her heart is to see young children come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior and to continue in spiritual growth.

Katie is a 2011 graduate of Athens Christian School, and is currently a senior at Truett-McConnell College where she is majoring in Early Childhood Education. Additionally, Katie has worked each summer since 2012 with WinShape Camps as a counselor for 1st through 5th grade girls.

When she’s not studying, Katie enjoys cooking, hiking, and University of Georgia football.
